MARVEL COMICS ROLEPLAY . . .

I know y'all remember how the Missus mentioned how Westernspice

likes to roleplay. And ya'll remember how she depends on Mr. Legendary

Leather to help her with any "leather needs" she may have, right? Well,

for this year's WonderCon, Westernspice wanted to dress up as

Agent Peggy Carter from Marvel Comics.

This meant carrying a leather briefcase and sporting a shoulder

holster for her replica 1911 45 caliber.

Mr. Legendary Leather complains nonstop but really enjoys helping

Westernspice when she needs to "spice" up her costumes.

All in all, the leather additions are what really transformed

Westernspice into Agent Peggy Carter, wouldn't you agree?

PROFILE

A Graphic Designer by trade . . . a cowboy artisan at heart, Mr. Legenday Leather developed an interest in leather-crafting back in his Boy Scout days. Around the same time, he also acquired what would eventually develop into an overwhelming interest in knives. As he grew older, he unknowingly "married" his two interests together and would occassionally craft a knife sheath to satisfy the "leather craving" within, sometimes with years in between crafted projects.

In his 40's, Mr. Legendary Leather added rifle and pistol shooting to his hobbies, while his curiosities about the old west developed into a passion for more knowledge about the "cowboy". Once again, "marrying" his interests, he discovered the "Single Action Shooting Society" (SASS) which is an international organization that was created to preserve and promote the sport of cowboy action shooting. SASS members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting; "Each participant is required to adopt a shooting alias appropriate to a character or profession of the late 19th century, a Hollywood western star, or an appropriate character from fiction. Their costume is then developed accordingly. Many event participants gain more enjoyment from the costuming aspect of the sport than from the shooting competition, itself." . . . the key word in this quote being "costuming" . . .

In his enthusiasm to develop the ultimate cowboy costume, Mr. Legendary Leather called upon all of his resources and interests, which encompassed everything that would be needed to satisfy yet another "calling". The variety in his leather-crafted projects is a testament to his growth in crafting the bovine hide. With each new creation, he carefully refines and hones his skills.

The imagination holds endless possibilities . . . and Mr. Legendary Leather eagerly seeks the "dusty old trail" he will travel to create every one of them!
