WESTERNSPICE IS A HAPPY SPICE . . .

Some of you may remember the leggings designed by WesternSpice and crafted by

Mr. Legendary Leather sporting the 'fleur de lys' symbol that WesternSpice favors.

And then there was the other special request by WesternSpice for a knife sheath

proudly displayin' another fleur de lys design for all to see.

But have you seen the latest creation? . . . . . . .

Don't tell me that WesternSpice roped Mr. Legendary Leather into another one!!

Yup! Looks like she wrangled another piece of work out of her daddy. Even a

western-style young lady feels incomplete without her handbag.

When WesternSpice is happy, all is well in the Legendary Leather household . . .

. . . . at least for the time bein'.

PROFILE

A Graphic Designer by trade . . . a cowboy artisan at heart, Mr. Legenday Leather developed an interest in leather-crafting back in his Boy Scout days. Around the same time, he also acquired what would eventually develop into an overwhelming interest in knives. As he grew older, he unknowingly "married" his two interests together and would occassionally craft a knife sheath to satisfy the "leather craving" within, sometimes with years in between crafted projects.

In his 40's, Mr. Legendary Leather added rifle and pistol shooting to his hobbies, while his curiosities about the old west developed into a passion for more knowledge about the "cowboy". Once again, "marrying" his interests, he discovered the "Single Action Shooting Society" (SASS) which is an international organization that was created to preserve and promote the sport of cowboy action shooting. SASS members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting; "Each participant is required to adopt a shooting alias appropriate to a character or profession of the late 19th century, a Hollywood western star, or an appropriate character from fiction. Their costume is then developed accordingly. Many event participants gain more enjoyment from the costuming aspect of the sport than from the shooting competition, itself." . . . the key word in this quote being "costuming" . . .

In his enthusiasm to develop the ultimate cowboy costume, Mr. Legendary Leather called upon all of his resources and interests, which encompassed everything that would be needed to satisfy yet another "calling". The variety in his leather-crafted projects is a testament to his growth in crafting the bovine hide. With each new creation, he carefully refines and hones his skills.

The imagination holds endless possibilities . . . and Mr. Legendary Leather eagerly seeks the "dusty old trail" he will travel to create every one of them!
